Fabrication & Production Associate

Job description

We are seeking candidates to help in our boat stand top production department, which includes repetitive, heavy lifting (up to 75lbs) to load and unload raw material, and to pack finished product. A good candidate will be able to keep multiple machines operating simultaneously, and learn to do basic troubleshooting as issues arise. Extensive training will be provided, but the candidate should have knowledge of hand tools and basic power tools. Mechanical aptitude and/or experience maintaining equipment, vehicles, etc. is preferred.

We will train willing candidates, no experience necessary, but you must have a strong work ethic and an eagerness to learn. The candidate will also assist in other areas of the company as needed.

Essential Responsibilities:

Material handling – Loading and unloading material, by hand and using forklifts or overhead cranes
Material processing – Preparing material for the next process in production
Machine operations – Running presses, threading machines, automated handling/welding machines, saws
Painting – Performing various painting operations
Packaging – Assembling and boxing finished product
Shipping – Boxing, palletizing, and loading into trucks or containers

Experience:

Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred, and steel or other metal fabrication experience is even better
Familiarity with hand tools and power tools
Familiarity with welding is helpful
Ability to read and interpret work instructions and diagrams
Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision

Pay: From $18.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
